The Story Of The Chamber & The Innkeeper
Traditionally, there would have been an Inn situated above an old pub. It was used as a resting place for travellers on long journeys, who after a few ales, would retire to the Innkeeper’s Chamber before beginning another long journey the following day.
This particular Inn was owned by Fat Harry’s old mate, Hamish, a giant Scot with a taste for the finest ales and a good old sing song too. old Hamish and Fat Harry first met in a tavern in a small Scottish village . They crossed paths during one of Harry’s early expeditions in search of the finest Scotch Whisky to serve in his pub. The two struck up a fine friendship and old Hamish accompanied Harry on the rest of his travels across Scotland, sharing with him tales of his homeland. Upon the end of their journey together, Fat Harry offered his new companion the Inn above his pub. Sadly, there is very little information known about old Hamish’s life after the deal between the two men, but those that knew him say he enjoyed many a night drinking the finest whisky and ales and singing a tune or two, especially when his old friend Fat Harry was in town. In fact, some say that he can still be heard today, stumbling up to his chambers from a night at Harry’s pub still singing away to his favourite songs.
